She is a woman on a mission—literally. An entrepreneur and former software marketing executive, she traded boardrooms for baby dreams when she realized the traditional “happily ever after” wasn’t going to show up.. Her ten year path to motherhood was anything but linear: it spanned foster parenting, multiple rounds of IVF, donor conception, genetic defects, premature birth, and child loss.
 
"After bringing my two children into the world and thinking the trauma was behind me, I faced an unexpected battle: a precedent-setting Texas Family Court case. My estranged husband of seven years sued to be recognized as the legal father of my son—a child I conceived on my own using an anonymous sperm donor while we were legally separated. He was able to make this claim due to a "presumed father" law, even though he wasn't the biological father and had never been in a fatherly role. After six months and $250,000, the court ruled in my favor and granted a DNA test proving he wasn't the father."
 
Fueled by these experiences, I now empower women to become mothers on their own terms. Rather than surrendering to outdated societal rules, I help other hopeful mothers write their own stories--with or without Prince Charming.
